On September 3rd, hereditary chiefs from all five clans along with staff of the Office of the Wet’suwet’en came out to visit our community and checkpoint at the Wedzin Kwa bridge. They clearly asserted their support for Unist’ot’en and affirmed their own position as being No to ALL pipelines.

Contrary to confusion campaigns being published in the mainstream media, the issue of authority over our unceded territories are neither complicated nor in disupute. The Delgamuukw Supreme Court decision, confirmed that the claim of the hereditary chiefs to their traditional territories had not been extinguished.
