Wet’suwet’en youth are brilliant and talented! This video features two songs written by Savannah from the Gidumt’en Clan, who is 14 years old and has wise words for all of us.

Last month, we hosted Indigenous youth from Wet’suwet’en and surrounding territories for a two week long art and wellness camp. Youth spent time on the land and learned from our Elders about significant sites on our territory. Workshops were led by master artists and youth mentors, helping our youth write songs, make videos, paint murals, make memes, and create west coast style artworks.

Despite ongoing police and industrial occupation of our territories, we are continuing to provide our community members with a space to connect with the territory that they come from. We are bringing our people out onto the land, living as Wet’suwet’en, and pushing forward with our long term vision of healing our people on the land.
